We are Solar Powered!

The Waldo Hub Nonprofit Center utilizes an 18,000Kwh passive solar panel system installed in 2020.

The forty-eight (48), 280 watt Silfab panels (Made in USA) is designed to generate ~90% of the Hub’s annual electricity needs and reflects our commitment to the environment and lowering operating costs.

Last year (2021) this system generated 27 Megawatt* hours and saved an equivalent of 42,000 lbs of C02. Our total production is over 55 Megawatt hours of Sun energy!

A megawatt is a unit for measuring power that is equivalent to one million watts.

One megawatt is equivalent to the energy produced by 10 automobile engines.

megawatt hour (Mwh) is equal to 1,000 Kilowatt hours (Kwh). It is equal to 1,000 kilowatts of electricity used continuously for one hour.”
